Viterbo: Ancient Etruscan Town in Lazio’s Countryside

One chilly morning spent in a Castello Romano, one of the cities that protected Rome in ancient times. Viterbo is a now-tranquil town with a rich history of thirteenth-century frescoes, the cathedral in which the first conclave was held, and architecture that has remnants of both Medieval and Renaissance structures on the same buildings.
